The creators behind the Marsepe brand are sisters Alina Goidea – designer and chocolatier, founder, and Carmen Vasile – architect, manager and co-founder.

Marsepe Chocolaterie, established in 2023 in Odobeti, Vrancea, creates premium Belgian pralines, made in artisanal manufacturing from fine chocolate of origin. Their flavors are probably the most daring and surprising you will discover.

Each praline was created by hand, with passion, meticulously, using fine ingredients, especially for you.

 

CONTEC FOODS

Contec Foods is the biggest canned food producer in Romania, while also being one of the oldest working factories in Romania, since 1953. The company headquarters and the production facilities are located in Tecuci.

The factory is certified in accordance with the standards of ISO 22000, SA 8000, ISO 9001 and IFS 7, for each of them annually supporting (third party) certification or supervisory audits (as the case may be). Also, the factory goes under periodical audits by our long-term clients, such as: KFC, Kaufland, Lidl, Penny, McDonald’s, Carrefour, Cora, Mega Image, Profi, Metro, etc.

Contec Foods has production capabilities in the following category of products: canned vegetables (peas, beans etc.), canned fruits (jams, compotes, etc.), fermented products (bors, vinegar), chocolate (chocolate spread, chocolate for patisserie), sauces (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, other table sauces), tomato products (tomato paste, passata etc.) ready-meals (zacusca, tocana, fasole batuta etc.)

DORIPESCO

Doripesco is a Romanian producer of fish and fish-based products, with nearly 30 years of activity on the Romanian market, built on solid principles of quality, sustainability, and respect for tradition.

Doripesco is the first Romanian company developed on the principles of multifunctional aquaculture, operating an integrated system of production – processing – distribution, which allows full traceability control, from farm to final consumer. This model ensures not only consistent quality but also respect for the natural environment and local resources.

A defining element of our activity is the valorization of local traditions. Doripesco has preserved recipes that are hundreds of years old, passed down from generation to generation, becoming the first fish producer and processor in Romania to hold certification for traditional products for seven items in its portfolio. In addition, the traditional carp roe salad benefits from the nationally protected TSG (Traditional Speciality Guaranteed) certification.

A remarkable benchmark for the Romanian aquaculture sector is the product “Smoked Bighead Carp from Țara Bârsei”, which is the only fish product certified with Protected Geographical Indication (PGI). This recognition confirms the uniqueness of the product, its strong connection to its region of origin, and compliance with strict quality standards.

Quality and food safety have always been and remain a priority for Doripesco. In 2019, the company obtained the IFS (International Featured Standards) certification for its fish processing unit. Furthermore, Doripesco holds the Intra-Community Operator Certificate, enabling the expansion of distribution across Europe.

FERMA CU OMENIE

Ferma cu Omenie is a Romanian dairy producer with tradition dating back to 1994, specialized in authentic cheeses made from cow, sheep, and goat milk sourced from our own farm and trusted local farmers.

We combine careful processing, consistent quality, and respect for natural taste in every product. Our portfolio includes Feta cheese, Kneaded cheese, fresh cheese, and other dairy specialties appreciated both in Romania and on international markets. At the heart of our work stand three values: quality, authenticity, and genuine care.

 

FIVE CONTINENT

The SC Five Continent cheese factory is situated in Romania, in the heart of the Valcea region. Production began in 2001, being pioneers in the country in the elaboration of cheese made with fermented sheep`s milk. The cheese is produced with high – quality raw materials; 100% milk from sheep which graze in the region’s lush green pastures.

In the EU quality schemes, along with DPO and PGI, there is also a mountain product. The quality term ‘mountain product’ highlights the specificities of a product, made in mountain areas, with difficult natural conditions. Recognising this is an advantage for farmers as well as consumers. It enables farmers to market the product better but also ensures certain characteristics are clear to the consumer.

We manufacture one product which we categorize according to the different maturation periods.

Fermented Cheese from Pasteurized Sheep`s Milk Horezu is characterized by its unique flavor and many nutritional qualities. Perfect on any occasion: as an appetizer, dessert or a healthy snack between meals.

The cheese is made according to the European standards, the factory holds the BRC quality certificate (GRADE AA).

We are very pleased that in 2018 for the first time in Romania, a cheese factory obtained a Bronze medal, in the World Cheese Awards, the biggest cheese competition in the world, that took place in Bergen, Norway. In the 2021 we repeated the performance and obtained a new bronze medal, in Oviedo, Spain. In 2024, in the WCA which took place in Viseu, Portugal, we won the Gold medal with the cheese with more than 12 months maturation and the Silver medal with the cheese with 4 months maturation. In 2025, in the WCA which took place in Bern, Swittzerland, we won the Gold medal again with the cheese with more than 12 months maturation. Also, we participated in another big competition: The International Cheese Awards, where we have won the Bronze and Silver medal over the years.

Artesana – The Milk Artisans Artesana is a Romanian family-owned dairy brand founded in 2012. The company was created from a simple but ambitious idea: to produce honest dairy products made from minimally processed milk, using traditional recipes and uncompromising quality standards.

From the very beginning, Artesana chose a different path from the industrial dairy market. The dairy products are made from minimally processed milk, non-standardized, non-homogenized, pasteurized at a gentle temperature, gently processed to preserve the natural structure and taste of milk. We avoid unnecessary processing and keep recipes simple, authentic and transparent.

One of the distinctive elements of Artesana is packaging. Our dairy products are bottled in glass, a choice that reflects both our respect for tradition and our commitment to product integrity and sustainability.

What started as a small family project has grown into one of the most respected premium dairy brands in Romania. We offer high quality dried fruits, ideal as healthy snack or to be included in various culinary recipes, and the drying process is done at low temperatures, to preserve all properties nutritious fruits.

Dried arnica flowers for infusions and decoctions
We offer dried arnica flowers, carefully prepared, to preserve their therapeutic qualities and aroma Distinct. They can be used for the preparation of infusions and decoctions, providing benefits for health and relaxation.

PRUTUL

Prutul is one of the main producers of vegetable oil and also one of the most important players in the agribusiness industry in Romania.

Prutul is a company with an integrated business model, purchasing and trading for all types of grains and oil seeds, as well as cereals and feedstock storage facilities for the crushing, refining and bottling factory.

Prutul owns a large Oil Factory in Galați, which has the longest tradition in the production of vegetable oil in Romania (since 1893) and 15 storage facilities for oil seeds and grains in the counties with the largest agricultural potential in our country.

Prutul Oil Factory produces a full range of sunflower oils: LINOLEIC (Conventional) and High Oleic that is sold either bottled in – 1L, 1.5L, 1.89L, 2L, 3L, 3.78L, 5L or in bulk by flexi-tank (21.6to), auto-tanker (25to) or IBC (1000L).

We market the bottled sunflower oils both under our own brands and as private brands.

The company holds industry-leading certifications (ISO, IFS, FSSC, FDA, Kosher, Halal), and is affiliated with some of the most prestigious organizations in the industry (FOSFA, GAFTA).

We have a vegetable oil terminal with a loading point at the Danube River, in the Galati Commercial Harbour (the factory is located at only 2 km away from de harbour).

 

SECOM ONIX IMPEX

Founded in 1991, Secom Onix Impex is a Romanian food producer with over 30 years of experience in the development and manufacturing of spices, seasonings, food flavors, and ingredients for pastry and confectionery. Over time, the company has expanded its portfolio to include natural herbal teas, as well as seasonal products such as egg dyes and Easter decorations.

From a small production unit with a single mixer, Secom Onix Impex has grown into a reliable partner for both traditional retail and international key accounts. Today, our products are widely distributed across Romania and exported to several European markets, ensuring consistent quality and availability.

SOCIETATEA NATIONALA A SARII

Romania has a significant history in salt mining, with the largest salt deposits in Europe (it is said that they could supply the world’s food food for 500 years. – excerpt from National Geographic). The salt mining in Romania dates back to ancient times, and its importance as a natural resource has been recognized for centuries. The country is home to various salt mines, many of which still operate today and attract visitors interested in learning about the methods and history of salt extraction. The five open for visitors salt mines provide a unique opportunity for tourists to explore the underground chambers, view the mining equipment, and learn more about the traditional and modern techniques used in salt mining. This not only highlights Romania’s geological richness but also its cultural heritage linked to this vital resource. Salt mining has a long and rich history in our country, dating back to ancient times.

The National Salt Company SALROM, founded in 1997, is the oldest state owned company in Romania, being the successor of the State Salt Monopoly which was established in 1864. Romania’s largest salt producer is a company whose majority shareholder is the Romanian state (51%), being classified as a “company of strategic interest” according to Law no. 99/1999. The main activity of the company is the exploitation of salt and other non-metallic products from the perimeters for which it has a license, as well as the preparation for sale, both on the domestic market and on the foreign market, of a varied range of salt-based products. The secondary activity of significant importance consists in the provision of leisure and food services in the saline environment for tourists.

The relatively wide spread of salt deposits on the territory of Romania led to the emergence and development of the seven mining operations that later became branches of Salrom – Ocnele Mari Salt Mine, Praid Salt Mine and Ocna Dej Salt Mine dated from the Roman period; Targu Ocna Salt Mine from 1380; Slanic Salt Mine from 1685; Ocna Mures Salt Mine from 1695; Cacica Salt Mine from 1792.
